You can explore the grounds free of charge but there is a small charge if you want to explore the keep (which I thoroughly recommend) but if you are an English Heritage member then you can get in for free.

There’s not much left of this castle but it is still worth a visit!
Conisbrough Castle
Conisbrough Castle had become a ruin by the end of 1538 and we know this because King Henry VIII had a servey carried out & it was noted that along with timbe and stonework, one of the floors in the keep had collapsed so the castle had fallen in to a state of disrepair…
