On the edge of Glamis Meadow and Wood (if you look close enough) you’ll find what is left of the Red Well.  Back in 1628 King Charles I and his Queen visited the well as it was famous for it’s fertility properties.  King Charles I went on to have 4 off-springs so it must have been true!

Charles pledged to make Wellingborough a Royal Spa town but the Cival War came along so Royal Wellingborough Spa never happened.
